Smoking Sentinel 2.0
Originally designed as a limited edition with input and packaging designed by John Dwyer, this new edition of Smoking Sentinel retains the potency of the original while being slightly easier to produce and more economical. Newer batches will revert to the pellet form, but this batch was left in small logs. The idea was for the user to break off a piece prior to burning, but after drying the incense was less pliable than anticipated, so a sharp knife may be required.
The Sentinel will always be mysterious, protean, shifting ingredients and proportions, but retaining it's singular scent profile. Contains Benzoin Sumatra, Boswelia Carterii, Copal Negro, Storax resinoid and a proprietary blend of spices.
What to use Sentinel for:
Unless otherwise specified, price stated is for 1/2 ounce of incense, as pictured.
The majority of Chariot's Wheels incense is non-combustible: it will not burn without the aid of an external heat source. We recommend an electric incense stove/heater, or some other indirect heating method.
Never place fine incense directly on a hot coal; always have some intervening surface like a plate of mica or foil, this will allow the true scent of the incense to evolve over time and reveal its depths. You can find mica plates designed for incense burning many places. Look for ones that are sized appropriately for the charcoal you use.
All Chariot's Wheels incense is hand crafted with the finest resins, woods and botanicals with added essential oils and various compounding elements such as fine wine, rum or liquers. It is then carefully aged, ritually purified and consecrated before packaging.
